An Online DIY Banner Making Workshop
Got big feelings about queer housing and healthcare?!? US TOO!!!
Create your own personal banner to display in a window, at your workplace, or to bring to rallies and gatherings. Join us online to share our inspirations and co-create among cuties and comrades!
We’re thinking a lot about queer healthcare and housing rights this year. We’ll start the workshop with a presentation and guided activity, then transition into open discussion and crafting time. We’ll end with an optional show-and-tell of your creations (so far).
Together, we’ll reflect on the questions: What does shelter mean to you? What does home feel like? What do your best friends’ bodies and minds deserve? How do you dream of ‘care’ in healthcare? What do you want to remind yourself and others of? Let’s hang out online and craft it out together!
Here’s some ideas for materials to bring to the workshop:
- Pen and paper
- Coloured Pencils
- Old shirts and scrap fabric
- A needle and thread

Accessibility: There will be ASL interpretation for this workshop.
